LATE
NIGHT EATS
Boston may have a
reputation for shutting down early, but, believe it or not,
there are great places to get an after-
midnight meal to curb those late-night munchies. For those
not in the know, here are a few of the outstanding eateries
that cater to those hungry night owls.
- News
150 Kneeland St., 617-426-NEWS. This hip, late-night
lounge/diner in the Leather District/Chinatown area
serves everything from sandwiches to sushi to a full
breakfast menu until 4 a.m. Tuesday through Sunday.
- Marche Boston
800 Boylston St., Prudential Center, 617-578-9700.
This lively, marketplace-style eatery at the Pru has
food stations offering such late-night staples as sushi,
pizza, rotisserie chicken and crepes, all until 1:30
a.m. on Friday and Saturday nights.
- Bricco
241 Hanover St., 617-248-6800. With a menu of
delectable pizzas (served from 11 p.m. to 1:45 a.m.)
featuring fresh, organic ingredients, it’s no wonder
that scenesters have made this popular North End bistro
an after-hours hotspot.
- Top of the Hub
800 Boylston St., Prudential Center, 617-578-9700.
This restaurant at the top of the Prudential Tower not
only features one of the best views of the city,
acclaimed cuisine and live jazz every night, but the
lounge also serves a special bar menu until 2 a.m.
Thursday through Saturday featuring such gourmet treats
as the lobster club sandwich and spinach salad.
- Gyuhama
827 Boylston St., 617-437-0188. This subterranean
sushi bar is known for its unique, post-10 p.m. “rock
’n’ roll” sushi, when the music is almost as amped up as
the patrons and strobe lights add a club-like atmosphere
until its 1:30 a.m. close.
